She hits the button and releases them to the wild, where they promptly eat a couple of lame-o government goons. Thankfully, the preteen Maisie has a heart and recognizes that she can't stand by and just let a bunch of dinosaurs bite it. This decision just creates a bottleneck of dying dinosaurs that's legitimately hard to watch. Claire Dearing, former park operations manager of Jurassic World, lets the creatures out of their cages, but balks at actually pushing the big red button. What Does It Do? After a blast of hydrogen cyanide wrecks the ventillation system in the dinosaurs' holding cell, they all begin to die a slow, painful death. The actual button is a little out of place and anachronistic with the digital touch screens, but that's what makes it so cool. Held under a cube of plastic, it sits alongside a giant computer terminal with a touch screen that controls every cage in a dinosaur holding cell. Still, check back for more details as they come down the pipe.What Does It Look Like? As technologically forward as the Jurassic World films are, this movie somehow still contains a big red button. While we have yet to get a hard confirmation, this would seem plausible given the absolutely terrible quality of the game - at least the Wii U version the 3DS iteration actually isn’t half bad. If these folks did leave in July, that would put their departure at the end of the development timeline of Boom. It’s being said that much of the team was unhappy with the direction of the game. Some of those who left the studio this last summer included senior designers, artists, a project manager, production assists and more. Apparently the original producer also left the company in September of last year. It’s come out today that a mass exodus hit the team in July, mere months before the game launched.
Nevertheless, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric developer, Big Red Button, apparently had a rocky road while making the game. Hopefully their exclusive deal with Nintendo ending will produce a more motivated Sega, and thus land us ultimately with one of the aforementioned games.
If only we could get a sequel to Generations or Colors… But alas, it’s not meant to be right now. Sadly, it seems that Sega just has no idea what to do with him. It’s a total bummer, too, as we like the Blue Blur. Pressing the Big Red Button activates the function of a given machine that is important to the plot, be it firing the superweapon, activating the Self-Destruct. So…Sonic Boom? Yeah… Not so good, right? We didn’t think so.
